PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE ON HOLIDAY FROM 25/08/2022 UNTIL 04/09/2022.
Orders can still be placed during this period but will only be despatched on 05/09/2022. We expect a great deal of disruption to deliveries over the next few weeks because of the Bank Holiday, Postal strikes and the backlog that these will create. In a bid to avoid customer goods sitting in depots, we have opted to not despatch orders over the week encompassing the Bank Holiday Monday and the strikes on 26th and 31st August. Thank you.

Blue Rome 1 – Fine Art Giclée Print. One of a series of ongoing works on classical architecture.

Blue Rome I is a Painting by Peter Taylor Ward. It is the first in a series of 3 landscapes in Prussian Blue that feature buildings designed for the Eternal City. In keeping with the fantastical nature of capriccio, not every building featured was ever completed for the city or still exists.

Peter’s fascination for buildings and architectural detail results in him producing many capricci paintings. Capriccio are paintings where  collections of buildings or ruins are the main focus of the artwork. The architectural elements are often shown out of context in adapted, imagined or even abstract landscapes. In his monochrome paintings, Peter covers the surface of the canvas in Islamic and Renaissance style buildings which creates a textural feel. This particular series is executed in shades of Prussian Blue.

Giclée artwork print size 30cm square – Paper size A3+ (329mm x 483mm). The artwork has been reproduced on an 8 colour printer using archival pigment inks on high quality archival, acid free, 100% cotton paper. Copyright watermark is not on final print. All artwork prints are dispatched flat and are boarded for protection. Presented unframed and unmounted.
