Description
David is Michelangelo’s sculptural masterpiece and Renaissance Icon. Now standing in the Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze, it was first commissioned to stand on the roof line of the Florence Cathedral before taking pride of place outside the Civic Offices for over 350 years.
The cushion features a digitally coloured charcoal drawing of a section of the statue’s face. The drawing, by Kim Curtis, seeks to capture the determined expression that Michelangelo so brilliantly carved in the marble.
Soft, plump and luxurious, these decorative cushions are the perfect addition to any seating or relaxation area. Sold exclusively through the Cut Loose Art web site. The cushion has a feather pad and measures 40x40cm.
The printed front of the cushion is Archway Brushed Twill whist the back is super soft suede look fabric. Remove the cover to machine wash at 30 degrees. Can be tumble dried and ironed on a low heat. Made and Printed in the UK. The printing uses specialist dye sublimation that fuses the ink to the fabric fibres, creating a deep, rich permanent print that won’t fade over time or with washing. Each cushion is then hand-finished.
