Description
‘Eat My Dust’ is a resin-finished print of an original oil painting of a motorcycle and rider by Kim Curtis. Inspired by a 1930’s DKW Audi advert, the piece is all about the dramatic and dynamic and features a motorcycle and rider in period costume speeding past. The upward-tilting angle gives a sense of movement whilst the painted vapour trails and dust clouds suggest speed.
The print has been adhered to a wooden board which has then been cut to the shape of the speeding bike and rider. To achieve a high gloss, sleek finish, a coat of specialist art resin has been applied. The back and edges are painted in a neutral, flat colour and the piece has been stamped and dated.
