Frankenstein’s Monster is a print of an original digitally coloured charcoal drawing by Peter Taylor Ward. The drawing depicts hollywood’s Boris Karloff version of Mary Shelley’s tragic character using deep shadows and nightmarish colours. Although often portrayed as an evil monster, the book describes a misunderstood victim. Rejected, alone and unloved, the creation of the ambitious scientist, Frankenstein, learns to treat people with the same disdain and malice that he is treated with. The quote that appears on the print is taken from the original text.
This large poster print is presented in a black frame with plexiglass.
