Head Study I is an original charcoal drawing of a woman’s head by Peter Taylor Ward. The study explores the tonal values of the subject’s face and is used in a number of Peter’s Weimar paintings. His Weimar Series is inspired by the art that was being made in Germany between the wars. The black and white simplicity of the drawing makes for a compelling image.
The charcoal drawing has been mounted on a 12mm deep wood panel and finished with a thick high gloss, UV resistant Resin coating giving a tile-like appearance.
A recess in the back of the panel allows it to hang from a slightly protruding screw head in the wall. No additional fixings are required.
Easel not included. Watermark shown does not appear on the painting.
