Lana, Pop Art Head by Peter Taylor Ward, is an original painted wood panel and is one of a series of Pop Head paintings. Taking inspiration from the classic era of PopArt, Peter has closed in on the faces and used a vibrant eye catching use of colour.
This one features Lana. This is a fictional femme fatale that has been inspired by the comic books of the 1950s. All the female portraits in the series have been given a name that fits either the hollywood vamps or tomboy girl-next-door types that defined women in the graphic novels of this era.
This is the original painted version on a wooden box frame panel. Signed by the artist on the back.
