PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE ON HOLIDAY FROM 25/08/2022 UNTIL 04/09/2022.
Orders can still be placed during this period but will only be despatched on 05/09/2022. We expect a great deal of disruption to deliveries over the next few weeks because of the Bank Holiday, Postal strikes and the backlog that these will create. In a bid to avoid customer goods sitting in depots, we have opted to not despatch orders over the week encompassing the Bank Holiday Monday and the strikes on 26th and 31st August. Thank you.

Little Dancer

Little Dancer – Fine Art Giclée Print

£25.00

5 in stock

This piece is a digitally coloured charcoal drawing study of Degas’s Little Dancer figure by Peter Taylor Ward. Capturing the weary, yet defiant, gaze and contorted pose of the young Opera Rat that Degas modelled.

In 1880, Edgar Degas began his sculpture of the Little Dancer Aged Fourteen. Degas sculpted in wax from life and enhanced the realism of the piece by using silk and muslin to dress the figure. After his death, casts were made of many of his wax figures and 28 bronze versions of the Little dancer were made. A majority of these versions are in museums and galleries across the world helping to make the figure instantly recognisable and much loved.

Giclée artwork print size A3 (297 x 420mm) – Paper size A3+ (329mm x 483mm). The artwork has been reproduced on an 8 colour printer using archival pigment inks on high quality archival, acid free, 100% cotton paper. Copyright watermark is not on final print. All artwork prints are dispatched flat and are boarded for protection. Presented unframed and unmounted.
