Description
This piece of Wall Art is from a series of paintings by Kim Curtis featuring fragments of Classical Sculpture. Roman Mask is an exhibit that can be found in the National Roman Museum. The carved stone has experienced delamination, pitting and worse but still retains its classic beauty.
Inspired by these ancient fragments, Kim has painted her versions of them iin oil using harmonius shades of blue and green.
The print has been adhered to a wooden board which has then been cut to the shape of the face. To achieve a high gloss finish, a coat of specialist art resin has been applied and the edges are protected all the way round with a decorative, yet practical, metal strip. The back is painted in a neutral, flat colour and stamped and dated.
Many of our Wall Art pieces are original paintings in either oil or acrylic. Why not check out our shop for all our available paintings.
